Nathan Gabriel was born Saturday, January 23, 2010 to my sister Tara and her husband Gene. He weighed in at 9 lbs, 3 oz - a big little guy! And he was 22 inches. God bless you, Nate and your family - Mom Tara, Dad Gene II, Sister Miranda and Brother Gene III.
Camille and I had a little (one-sided) conversation in which I asked her if she and Nate had been running around up in heaven a little while ago, getting into trouble together. She loved this conversation - she gave me many smiles. I believe she already knows and loves little Nate! I know they'll be the best of friends. They are exactly three months apart.
We are a blessed family!

Camille gets raised to a sitting position
Today Camille was lying on the couch and we were having a very serious conversation. She lifted her head up as if to be pulled up to a sitting position, so I decided to try it. Her head has been getting much steadier, she can almost hold it upright on her own. So I pulled her up to a sitting position and her head was steady and her arms were pretty strong. Success! Go Camille - such a big girl!

Camille's Two-Month Visit to the pediatrician
Camille received 3 shots in her thigh. It was about 5 actual inoculations but they combine them now so they don't have to give stick the baby with the needle as many times. She was pretty good about it. She cried then stopped when she got mommy kisses. Dr. Duffy said she might have some problems like a low grade fever or as bad as a reaction to the medicine. The next night, Camille felt pretty warm. We did give her Children's Tylenol, just half a dropper full. I think she might have had a slight fever and she was pretty crabby and awake many times throughout the next four or more nights. Who can count now? Slowly, we're getting back to a normal schedule (I hope!). However, it is freezing out and this has caused me to coop up this poor baby for a whole week! I just don't want to take the chance of her getting sick so I'm trying to avoid taking her out if I can possibly help it.
